5km Stroller Category

For all those Moms, Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas or friends who would like to participate with a little one here’s the category for you. Please ensure you have a handbrake on your stroller, a tether strap and your stroller is made for running. You will need to register in this category as you will be required to wear two bibs. One on the front of you with your bib number or name and the other on your back indicating you are pushing a stroller. You will be corralled at the back of all the 5km runners. Safety is our biggest priority for all.

Kid Run

We recognize that our littlest runners are the future so we want to make their experience with the Honda Waterfront Run the best it can be. We have designed a course that will allow for a “choose your own distance” run. The loop will be approximate 600m in length with a short cut for those really little runners. A map will be posted and the course will be marked. Kids will have the choice of one, two or three loops. We recognize that each child is unique and would like a challenge that suits them. Kids will receive a bib and a special medal. This is a RUN so there will be NO timing. Please consider volunteering for this event. Sign up today!

charity Challenges

Each registered participant can participate in all the challenges if they wish to do so.  These challenges have been designed to help local charities and create an atmosphere of fun and community.

Participant Challenge

When you register, you will be able to choose which charity you are participating for or supporting.  You have the option of creating a fundraising page to help charities further. The top three charities with the largest number of supporters will receive additional donations. Prize amounts are: 1st $500, 2nd $300 and 3rd $200. Participants do not need to fund-raise or donate to help support a charity.  

Fundraising Challenge

The charities with the largest number of fundraisers will also receive an additional donation. For charities to be eligible a charity must have minimum of five fundraisers with a minimum fundraising amount of $50 each. Donations made directly to an individual can be included in the calculation, but they will need to be verified. Prize amounts are: 1st $500, 2nd $300 and 3rd $200

Team Challenge

Show how awesome your Team is by participating together and support a local charity.   It's a win/win challenge.  Physical activity + cause = a healthy community!!   Make this event a community builder and show your spirit by wearing your Team apparel. The Team to have the most participants entered will help a local charity receive an additional donation of up to $500.00.

Online registration is open until Thursday June 4th at 9:00am.  There will be registration during Race Kit Pick Up and on Race Day for all distance and categories.

 soul4souls canada Shoe Drive

Our friends at BioPed have partnered with Soles4Souls Canada to collect and distribute shoes to those in need. When picking up your race kits you will receive your items in a bag which can be used on race day to donate your old shoes in support of this amazing cause. Together with Soles4Souls Canada, BioPed Footcare puts your generously donated shoes towards sustainable solutions, such as a micro-enterprise program that educates people on how to create their own, self-sufficient operation, providing them with dignity and a way out of poverty. Help them reach their goal of collecting 1,000,000 pairs of used shoes to help change people’s lives!  If you can’t donate at the event please use the bag to bring in shoes at any time to the BioPed Footcare & Orthotics location at 181 Livingstone St E., Barrie. Finisher Medals

  • All participants receive a Finishers Medal at the finish line

  • Electrolyte drink and water will be provided at all aid stations along the course, located every 2-3km
